Julio Castro earned his Bachelor of Arts from California State University Monterey Bay and a Masters of Public Administration at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Julio is passionate about education and worked for over a decade at California State University Monterey Bay in International Education Programs and College Support Programs. Julio volunteers with non-profit organizations centered around youth development and higher education. As Community School Coordinator, Julio is supporting the planning and implementation of the Community Schools strategy, working with staff, parents and students all across the district.

 

Julio Castro was born and raised in Salinas, California and promoted from César E. Chávez Elementary School at the Alisal Union School District.
